Hi there. I’m Alexa (she/her), a Senior Product Designer at Reuters. I create scalable systems and intuitive experiences for global newsrooms and media marketplaces.
I studied Business Economics before discovering design in college — where a single class shifted my path from consulting to UX, the perfect mix of strategy, visual craft, and human insight. I began my UX career in Michigan in 2018, working on apps and healthcare products. In 2020, I relocated to New York City, where I’ve been designing for global media ever since.
Currently, I’m part of the Monetization squad at Reuters Connect, where I design revenue-driving experiences such as checkout systems, cart workflows, and scalable components that support thousands of editors and publishers worldwide. Previously, I led a homepage revamp for Reuters.com.
My design philosophy centers on balance — zooming out to see systems, refining details with empathy, and collaborating without ego to design solutions that last.
Beyond work, I’m drawn to stories like AI by Steven Spielberg and Her by Spike Jonze — 🎬 films that question what makes artificial beings seem human, and how people decide where the line between person and machine lies. That curiosity shapes how I think about designing technology with empathy and depth. I also find creativity in smaller details: 🎹 playing piano to balance discipline with improvisation, and ☕ exploring New York’s café scene, always chasing a perfectly bright espresso ✨.
I’m continuously learning — from longevity science to new design tooling — and I bring that curiosity back into my work. If you’d like to chat about design, wellness, or even your favorite AI-inspired film, I’d love to connect.
